New Blog: Beautiful Movements

Holidays

The holidays are near which means another chance at forgiveness, love, and compassion for myself and for the world around me. It’s a time of year that brings back memories and gives you the opportunity to make new ones. As a year ends and a new year begins we are able to set goals and focus on how we can work everyday at achieving them. Everything is possible when you take the time to think of what it is you want in life and have enough faith to go after it.

This holiday for me is all about opening my heart with love and allowing myself to be excited and swept up in the child like spirit of Holiday magic. Whenever the feelings seem to drift away its up to me to make change and bring it back. Movies like Scrooged, Elf, Christmas Vacation, Prancer, and Santa Clause all give me the restart for Holiday cheer when I need it. I love to bake cookies and cakes, decorations and a tree are a must and hot cider or cocoa is essential. Still to this day I make a point to leave cookies and milk out on Christmas Eve. Haha The Holidays can either be a burden or they can be an adventure.

Applying our child-like want for adventure into our normal workday is always the goal. Getting swept up in the emotions of deadlines, being better, moving forward, and making something happen in life can be draining. At some point you have to sit back and reflect on all that you have accomplished with gratitude and satisfaction. As the end of this year draws closer I find myself reflecting on all that I have done as well as thinking about the traits of mine Id like to work on. So I made a list:

1. 1. Balance- shutting off my work brain when I’m home.

1. 2. Trusting that my future will happen whether I worry about it or not

1. 3. Smiling when I wake up

1. 4. Create a structure in life wherever I am. (good food, workout, sleep)

1. 5. Simplifying material needs.

Pussycat Dolls Drama; Kimberly Speaks!

The drama that is the Pussycat Dolls‘ reality shows no sign of subsiding. Member Kimberly Wyatt has sensationally gone on record to reveal an apparent rift between herself and lead /only singer Nicole Scherzinger. According to Wyatt, she and Scherzinger have not spoken in months, effectively since the band went on ‘hiatus’. Here’s what she had to say:

“I haven’t seen Nicole at all. I stay in touch with the other girls but not with her. I did send her a couple of emails but I haven’t heard back.

I never really had the chance to do a lot on the creative side, but now I’m working on my own thing. I have no idea how long the break will be or if we will get back together” (Source: http://angryape.com/news/kimberly-wyatt-hasnt-heard
-from-nicole-scherzinger).

Wow…you’ve got to love her honesty, which is rather refreshing in an age of media-trained responses and the same interview duplicated a million times over. While I’m sure there is a lot more to this Pussycat Dolls hoo-harr than meets the eye (i.e. why Nicole is continually pushed to the forefront when the public are sick of her), I can’t see how so publicly airing out their drama is going to allow anyone to believe any notion of solidarity they may try and fake should they ever come back. What’s funnier is that their creator Robin Antin seems hell-bent on insisting to anyone that will listen that the group is staying together, yet evidently things are crumbling apart for everyone to see. Denial, much?

The Unknown

The journey of one traveling the world, looking for the answers to her purpose work. Crying out into the unknown waiting for the answer. Blindly continuing forward one foot in front of the other trusting that stable ground will embrace each step.

The who, what, when, where, and how has no answer and no right or wrong. Its been entrusted in me to listen carefully and trust my intuition. Everything I want is here yet all is a mystery. I just keep telling myself to "Keep Moving Forward."

JUST BE

Believing in your true self is the acceptance work we do. Allowing passion to explode from your heart is how we continually learn about who we really are. Always know you are not perfect and there is always room for improvement. Listen to your heart and trust it is guiding you in the right direction. Fine-tuning your inner self to have compassion is the key to being a better person.

Holding on and festering on the past will only hindure you and bring worry and stress to your life. Never look back, instead set your sights on learning from your mistakes and see what you can do to improve. Once you understand what improvements you can make, apply them now so you can see results in the future. Use the lessons as tools to continually do everything better next time. Move forward with more knowledge and less reserve and you will then have the opportunity to just be.

Im learning that passion is the core of me. Inspiration leaves me wanting more. I feel all of what life is. Im not perfect but Im not sure what is. Today, Im fine with being me. Tomorrow there is room for improvement.
